Re-Entry Program

611 S. 7th Street

St. Joseph, MO 64501

(816) 396 – 8115

In partnership with Western Reception Diagnostic Correctional Center (WRDCC) and Probation and Parole, The Crossing will begin providing housing for individuals exiting prison who do not have a stable environment for shelter. The program will focus on non-violent offenders who are able to integrate into the workforce with training.

Habitat for Humanity is working with The Crossing to restore the building where the ex-prisoners will not only live but will also receive on-site job training through the Home Builder’s Institute. The program will serve 32 individuals every 90 – 120 days and is set to start on April 1, 2021. Individuals will be expected to obtain the necessary skills that will assist them with obtaining a job to help with securing stable housing.

If you would like to volunteer to help with building renovations, would like to learn more about how your company can be involved, or would like to help in any other way, please call (816) 396 – 8115.
