The Crossing provides housing for individuals recovering from addiction or exiting incarceration who do not have a stable environment for shelter. The program focuses on non-violent offenders who can integrate into the workforce with training. Residents sign a covenant to be in the program for a minimum of 150 days and daily work fulltime at local employment or on the campus.
Volunteers are needed to be encouraging and supportive to the residents as they prepare for reentry into the community. They may engage in ongoing conversation, attend life skills classes, and provide assistance as they prepare to exit the program. For information call (816) 396 – 8115.
Crossing Re-Entry not only transforms spaces. Crossing Re-Entry transforms the lives of men recovering from addiction, homelessness, and incarceration.
